Midi district
Master plan launched
22 entries have been received in response to the issue of a notice of competitive public tender (using the negotiated procedure, advertised Europe-wide) to recruit an urban project management team to prepare a master plan for the Midi district. The tender notice was issued in early February at the request of the Regional Government.
Three to five candidates will be invited at a later stage to submit a tender, and the winning candidate should therefore be selected by summer 2013.
The winning team will have six months to devise its urban plan based on the issues and guidelines set out in the guidance note of the ADT-ATO. It will also be tasked with providing long-term support for the projects developed in the district.
Responsibility for project management lies with the Urban Development Agency (ADT-ATO) (appointed project management representative), the Research and Planning Department of the Urban Planning and Housing Administration of the Ministry of the Brussels-Capital Region and the Strategy Department of Brussels Mobility.
